About
Science of Teams was built to help organizations understand what's really holding their teams back and develop solutions that help them perform at their best.
Founded by Kyle Brykman, Associate Professor of Management at the University of Windsor. An award-winning educator, published researcher, and certified leadership coach, Kyle combines academic rigour with practical experience, helping organizations build stronger teams and better leaders. He holds a PhD from Queen's University and an HBA from the Ivey School of Business.
Science of Teams was born from a frustration Kyle heard repeatedly from leaders. Their teams were struggling to work effectively, and they couldn't understand why or what to do about it. Those who hired consultants were left even more frustrated: generic recommendations and motivational speeches that failed to move the needle.
Kyle built Science of Teams to be different.
Every engagement is led personally by Kyle from start to finish. Rather than arriving with a pre-packaged solution, he takes the time to understand what's actually happening beneath the surface. The same evidence-based approach that guides his research also guides Science of Teams: ask better questions, stay open to possibilities, gather the right information, identify root causes, and only then design a solution.
Because of his commitments as a professor and researcher, Kyle works with a limited number of organizations each year. That allows him to be fully invested in every partnership and provide the level of attention and care each client deserves.
